Welcome to AW Professionals in Care. 

I believe that as an individual you are best placed to understand yourself and your experiences. The role as a counsellor is to support you to make sense of things and get to where you want to be.

I am a registered teacher, NDIS Key Worker, a cognitive behavioural therapist and a registered counsellor. My approach in counselling begins with a warm, non judgemental environment with an empathic ear to listen and truly hear you.

Working together with use of exploration questions in helping you to gain a greater understanding and insight into your problems and maybe find the solutions that you seek. As every client is individual and past experiences are different, the way of working is reflective of this by using and mixing different counselling approaches to best suit to individual client.

This can be a mixed of the person centred approach, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. I also believe that the things you think or do without thinking can tell us about hidden parts of yourself, and through therapy this can be bought to your attention to do with as you wish.
